What is Sonic 2 – Score Rush?

Sonic 2 – Score Rush is a thrilling, high-energy sequel to the original Score Rush hack. It takes the classic Sonic gameplay, drops it from 5,000 points in the score table, and gives it a new twist: Your score is literally a matter of life and death! The player starts out with 5,000 points and then should aim to keep the score rising by collecting rings, defeating badniks, grabbing power-ups, and completing levels and bosses. And the catch is that points are lost over time! Make it down to zero-and, boom, you're done! The ever-changing challenge of looking at one's score instead of traditional score tallies makes every point count in the very real-time challenge.

The Gameplay

The main thing to do is survive and get a really high score! Employ classic Sonic moves such as Spin Dash, Drop Dash, and Super Peel-Out to tear through the levels collecting those rings and annihilating badniks. Also, watch your score meter carefully and plan your actions wisely, lest you faceroll a hardcore zero. The game launches three modes: Score Rush (beat the game for the highest score!), Endless Rush (endless levels that get harder), and Quick Rush (single-level challenges for a quick break).

Hints & Tricks

Aim for Anything That Raises the Score: Collect rings, power-ups, and touch starposts as often as possible.
Get the Hang of All the New Moves: Drop Dash and Super Peel-Out stage greater speed, while Insta-Shield and Flight help ease hazards and bosses.
Combo Chains: Apply combos to Flight and Flight Cancellation techniques to extend your combo chain and boost your score drastically.
High Scores with Knuckles: By playing as Knuckles, you can glide and cling to walls, which means you are free to play more aggressively for high scores.
