The Sonic world has been put through a complete new treatment, with new palettes, sprites, and level layouts (the first and last zones at this stage, at least), all the while rock music is being remixed through and through. Controls in Game

• Down + A/B/C: Spin Dash toward a burst of speed.
• Up + A/B/C: Get a Super Peel Out for additional speed boost.
• A/B/C twice (away from a target): Double Jump, best for crossing tricky gaps.
• A/B/C twice (near a target): The Homing Attack drops enemies.

Zones

Sand Hill Zone

Smoldering ruins and lava pools fill the mountain lands near an active volcano with awakening reddened grounds and fire-winged contraptions that pose various challenges.

Lost Maze Zone

An ancient underwater maze that threads the subterranean waterways under the jungle ruins of Christmas Island and is both a mystical yet a challenging experience.

Metropolis Zone

Unfinished city with a futuristic vibe, inhabited by robots and completed highways and hazards with more layers of difficulty.

Iron Canyon Zone

High-tech industrial fortress at the bottom of a deep crater surrounded by metallic canyons and death traps. The subsequent waterways are slowly collapsing due to the nuclear weapon.

Reactor Core Zone

The final zone where the nuclear weapon was manufactured and set off; therefore, the innermost section of the fortress is heavily guarded and hard to gain entrance to.

Special Stage

Secret Zone for the Chaos Emeralds. Finding Chaos Emeralds in this alternate reality gives you a unique challenge.

The mission to save Christmas Island from destruction runs urgently alongside Sonic. With six Chaos Emeralds and the destruction of the Nuclear Weapon, the world can be restored fully. If not all of them are collected, the zones will be saved but not fully restored. The adventure now awaits—Ready, set, go!
