What Is Sonic Advance 3?

Sonic Advance 3 is a colorful and fast-paced handheld game giving the classic Sonic feel to Game Boy Advance. Building on the success of the earlier Sonic Advance titles, this one introduced a new tag mechanic that allowed you to pair up with a partner and confront the bad guys of Dr. Eggman. How to Play

In Sonic Advance 3, you use either Sonic or Tails (or a partner) to go through vibrant levels filled with obstacles, enemies, and items to collect. Tag mechanics allow you to switch characters freely, with each character having different abilities. Sonic is the typical fast force, and Tails has the ability to fly and manipulate objects with his tails. Their mission is to gather the Chaos Emeralds and zapping Eggman's robots and making the world a little better within a limited time.

Tips and Tricks

Get Good at Tag Switching: Be sure to utilize the tag system to compensate for what each character cannot do. Sonic is all about speed runs, but Tails might want to be clearing tight spaces or up high on some platform.
Gather Power-Ups: Power-up items, such as the one that boosts your Spin Attack or grants temporary invincibility, can make your road easy.
Plan Your Route: Some stages have secret paths and hidden goodies. Keep an eye out for question marks and look for hidden rooms to grab extra points and lives.

History

The Sonic Advance 3 franchise is part of the bigger Sonic the Hedgehog franchise and has a direct tie-in to the events of Sonic Battle. The events that occur within the game detail events after Sonic and his partner rush against Eggman to try and stop him from stealing the Chaos Emeralds and power up his ultimate weapon.
