What is Sonic Battle?
Sonic Battle is a fast-paced arena fighting-type video game imbibing the Sonic world on GBA. Unlike in most Sonic platformers, emphasis here is placed on one-on-one conflicts amongst several unique characters of the Sonic universe, all with distinct special moves and styles of fighting. What an exciting twist on the traditional Sonic experience, full of strategy and fast-paced combat.
How to Play
Considered a fusion of a 3D arena and fighting game, Sonic Battle allows you to pit characters such as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and several others, each with different strengths and fighting styles, against one another in various arenas. The objective is to reduce the opponent's health meter to zero through simple attacks, special attacks, and Sonic Attacks meant to stagger or interrupt the opponent. With a fast and furious pace, gameplay requires sharp reflexes and strategic planning to get one edge over the opponent.
Tips & Tricks
- Master the Basics: Spend time learning the moves every character can perform; know the right moments to dash, hit, or throw out a special move.
- Interact With the Environment: Some interactable elements can be triggered in the environment of the arena with a view to gaining advantages when fighting.
- Keep an Eye on Special Meter: Special moves are very strong but use up your special meter, so make sure to balance their usage wisely and try baiting your opponent into wasting theirs.
- Counter-attack: Develop battling intuition: anticipate the enemy move, block or intercept it, and retaliate to gain advantage.
