What is Sonic S?

Sonic S is a fast and funky side-scrolling running game where you command a slippery, soapy version of Sonic the Hedgehog. In this funny-challenging iteration, Dr. Eggman has confiscated all of Sonic's precious water—mid-shower! Your job is to weave through perilous obstacles, slippery physics, and face down Eggman to really get that water back into his hands and finally get a shower. Built within one week for RAGE 2025 by Taldius, Sonic S is a quick, chaotic, and replayable game that tests your patience and reflexes.

How To Play

Controls of Sonic are fairly simple: arrow keys for left and right, Space to jump. Land those jumps perfectly, and slippery physics will aid in this. Running fast is the objective, reaching the end of each level while avoiding a hazy mess of obstacles and Eggman himself. The faster you run, the faster Sonic gets the water!

Tips and Tricks

Be Precise: Slide on the floor to build momentum for longer jumps.
Practice: It is frustrating at first, getting the controls down, physics on your fingertips, but just hang in there.
Stay Calm: It is all part of the fun; keeping calm will help you skillfully maneuver the obstacles.
Replay Levels: Every run differs, so if you fail on the first try, don't hesitate to give it another go.

Sonic S was born from the RAGE 2025 game jam, in which Taldius aimed to create a short but challenging and funny game that tested the skills and patience of players. The weird premise-a frantic Sonic trying to stop Eggman because of stolen water-made the game fun in the chaos-funny way that makes it second to none. Although very simple in concept, the angry-game difficulty and the humor of Sonic's soapy shoes make it an ideal quick-repeat for any tough platforming enthusiast.
