How to Play

Although Sonic Spike is easy to play, it requires skill and strategy in the actual game. Controlling a player on the beach, you will have to spike a volleyball over the net to the other player's side to score against him. There exist single-player modes where you can battle AI opponents and two-player modes to challenge your friends. Using the directional controls will allow you to move around the court, and pressing the action button lets you jump and spike, with your target of beating your opponent by getting the ball on their side of the court while they do not.

Tips & Tricks

Get those spikes down: The best power with maximum accuracy comes from jumping and spiking in late timing.
Positioning: Move and position yourself in such a way to block the spikes of your opponent or return the ball.
Angle Practice: Try different angles and heights for your spikes; keep your opponent guessing.
Look for patterns: Watch the moves of your opponent; anticipate and counter him to the best of your ability.

Sonic Spike-World Championship Beach Volleyball was released in 1994 under the TurboGrafx-16 library. It is one of very few titles to bring a rare sports experience to the console, mixing the then pop culture of beach volleyball with the charm of Sonic-influenced characters.
