What are Sonic 1 Random Levels?

Sonic 1 Random Levels is one of the most exciting and new interpretations of a very beloved Sonic the Hedgehog experience. In this installation, each time you boot up a new game, the levels get randomized and reorganized to provide that new-and-unpredictable sort of adventure. To put it simply: it's a great way of twisting that great Sonic gameplay into something unique, different from what any run in the original game would have felt.

Gameplay

The gameplay is much the same as Sonic the Hedgehog: you move Sonic with arrow keys, jump with "Z," and perform punches with the spin attack on "X." Grab Wumpa Fruit for points. Dodge attacks from Eggman's robots and Badniks; reach the goal ring for each level. In return for a heightened level of challenge and fun, the random sequence for levels will allow you to experience familiar stages in strange new contexts.

Tips & Tricks

Learn that Spin Attack: Useful for knocking down enemies and razing obstacles.
Grab Wumpa Fruit: Points aside, they may also enable special powers or other perks in some versions.
