What is Sonic Delta Next?

Sonic Delta Next is an amalgamation of every thrilling Mega Drive Classic Sonic the Hedgehog games: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, and Knuckles—all merged into a single player experience. This will merge all of the beloved levels, mechanics, and characters of each in a complete journey of what made Sonic truly into an icon. The game offers about 37 levels, a multitude of environments ranging from the old Green Hill to some pretty complex ones of Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Each character chosen will fetch you a unique set of levels that guarantee a fresh experience every time.

How to Play

Being a platform game, Sonic Delta Next lets you control Sonic (plus in some secondary capacity Tails or Knuckles) to run through the levels to the rings and all, to reaching the end of each level by collecting emeralds, fight the boss, and complete the stage. Controls are easy with high responsiveness, allowing you to move precisely, jump, and spin attack with the A button. Soon you will be allowed to play stages and bonus stages each with various challenges and rewards.

Tips and Tricks!

Debug Mode: With debug mode on, hold "A" and then press "C" to reverse the debug object list. This comes in handy for skipping levels or testing out different objects.
Bonus Stages: To enter bonus stages, acquire 20 or more rings, and touch a lamppost. Which kind of bonus stage you get depends on how many rings you have: divide the ring count by 4, and the remainder corresponds to the stage (0 is Slot Machine, 1 is Glowing Spheres, 2 is Gumball Machine, and 3 is Sonic 1 Special Stage.
Perfect Bonus: In the Sonic 2 Special Stages, avoid hitting any bombs for a perfect bonus. In co-op mode, you'll also want to protect Miles to get the perfect score.
Save States: If you save state in an emulator in these Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 levels, be aware that the game might crash after loading a save state; to avoid this, start a new "No SAVE GAME" session, load Green Hill, and then load your save state.

Sonic Delta Next is a fan-made venture that stitches the best of classic Sonic the Hedgehog games into a unified experience.
